Project History

Nearly four years ago, James J. Calmes & Sons met with Bethlehem Lutheran Church to develop a vision and an architectural project plan for the 15,218 square foot building. Following extensive planning and collaboration with the community, the project began in June of 2017 and now less than a year later, they have a brand-new facility they call home.

On October 30, 2017, the new bell tower, designed to hold the original church bell, was placed on the church. WBAY's drone camera, Skyview 2 captured the symbolic moment

“It’s been an extreme pleasure working with Lon and other members of the planning committee. We’ve built a unique, yet traditional structure that will serve this community for many, many years to come,” said Lee Leininger, Project Manager at James J. Calmes and Sons, Inc.

The new church construction features  classical church architectural design including traditional wooden pews and wood trim. It has been designed with expansion in mind as the needs of the church grow.
