Greenville, Wis. -- On Sunday, June 9, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church held a groundbreaking ceremony at 9:00 a.m. to kickoff demolition and construction on their new building. Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church has partnered with James J. Calmes & Sons, Inc. for the construction of this exciting project. The plan involves demolition of the existing church and fellowship hall, followed by construction of a new 22,000 square-foot church narthex and classrooms. The church will also be expanding the parking lot and storm water detention system.
The new building is in response to the growing needs of the community and church. With Greenville’s rapid growth over the years, the current facility is too small to address current needs. The new church building will allow more community members to be a part of the parish, offer more space for Sunday school and continue as a meeting space for local club sports teams and organizations.
